Check the documents before the itinerary becomes fixed
Start with your passport details, expiry and the official entry requirements for your nationality, purpose and dates. A visa, an ETA, an exemption and an arrival form are different things. Use the appropriate authority guidance and check the actual approval if one is required. No travel agent can guarantee immigration admission.
Make the route kind to your time
Look at arrival and departure hours as well as the number of nights. A late arrival, a long transfer or an early flight can change how much time you have for sightseeing. Avoid tightly stacked connections and leave room for local transport and a slower first day.
Understand the complete cost
Review accommodation and room type, occupancy, meals, transfers, sightseeing, taxes, currency and the total amount. Ask which flights, optional experiences, insurance, visa charges or local payments are separate. Keep an itemised written quote so you can compare like-for-like arrangements.
Keep your confirmations usable
Check names and dates carefully, save the final itinerary and reporting instructions, and keep the verified support contacts available. Recheck current entry and arrival formalities before departure. Share sensitive documents only through an agreed secure channel, and retain receipts and booking conditions alongside the confirmations.
